​A1Personnel are currently recruiting for an Import Clerk on behalf of our client based in Basildon.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase orders

  • Inputting data onto the system

  • Maintaining DOCMAS records

  • Provide weekly reports on new shipments processed

  • Arranging return shipments of rejected goods

  • Re-claiming duty where over paid

  • Negotiating rates and arranging air freight shipments

  • Checking customs enteries

  • Processing import clearance advices

  • Checking & processing import documents and entering onto the system

  • Completing CHEDs and PDDs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within Imports

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Good organisational skills

  • Personable approach

  • Customs clearance knowledge

Hours & Benefits:

Monday to Friday
9am - 5pm
22 days holiday + bank holidays (will increase with years service)
