JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you an experienced Electrical Technician looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? We’re looking for talented engineers to join our growing team, working across a range of commercial and heavy industrial systems throughout the UK — with a focus on the southeast region.

This is a permanent position offering a mix of workshop-based and field service responsibilities, perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys taking ownership of their work.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Diagnose, repair, and rewire complex electrical systems to the highest standard.

  • Carry out routine maintenance, testing, and compliance checks in line with manufacturer and industry regulations.

  • Independently identify faults and implement effective solutions.

  • Deliver top-tier customer service and clear communication at every stage.

  • Install electrical systems in accordance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

  • Lead and support planned projects, shutdowns, and outages when required.

  • Provide expert advice and technical support to clients.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.

  • Proven experience in fault finding, installation, repair, and commissioning within heavy or industrial engineering.

  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Full UK driving licence (preferably clean).

  • Eligibility to pass relevant security clearances.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of IEE regulations, with City & Guilds 2360, 2382, and 2391 Inspection & Testing certificates.

DESIRABLE EXTRAS:

  • CompEx (1–4) training.

  • Background in power generation, including prime movers and BOP systems.

  • Experience with HV systems, motor testing, trace heating, and actuator testing.

  • Physically fit and adaptable to the demands of the job.

  • Positive attitude with flexibility for on-call duties (1 in 4 rotation) and occasional travel.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:

  • Competitive salary with an excellent package.

  • Annual bonus and healthcare benefits.

  • 28 days’ annual leave plus statutory holidays.

  • 40-hour week, Monday to Friday.

  • Company vehicle, tools, PPE, and tablet provided.

  • Uncapped overtime and statutory pension scheme.

  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.

If you’re ready to apply your skills to exciting engineering challenges, take pride in your craft, and want to be part of a professional and supportive team — we want to hear from you.
