JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Support multiple teams of other product design engineers, test design engineers, production, and service centre staff to resolve issues with product design, modification, upgrades, customer investigations, supplier investigations, obsolescence, and test system design changes.
Be part of product transitions from development to repair phase.
Provide support Product review board (PRB)
Support tooling requests and documentation development
Guide and train operations on processes and support R+O operations leader
Engage in and drive materials savings projects to reduce manufacturing and repair costs.
Provide shop floor engineering guidance to reduce scrap and past due coming up with improved work scopes and processes.
Remove waste from the repair process.
Lead capital purchases initiatives
Provide estimates and statements of work for various engineering efforts and projects.
Communicate directly with internal and external customers and suppliers about status on resolutions for problems such as supply chain delivery disruptions, no-fault-found situations, defect escapes, warranty review, and first-year-in-service failures.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Proven experience in manufacturing engineering.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ability to lead and train operations personnel.
Experience with product transitions, cost reduction projects, and capital purchases.
Proficiency in providing engineering guidance and developing improved processes.
