Job Summary:

Project Managers are the key contact between the Client and the Workshop delivering high quality projects on time, to cost and budget.Running multiple projects in their entirety, the Project Managers ensure that resources are in place and teams have been clearly briefed as to the client’s requirements.The ability to problem solve is vital alongside exceptional organisational skills.

The successful candidate will be working on high-profile projects and therefore should be proactive and confident in order to manage and control each task they are given and communicate clearly with our Clients.

Role:

  • Project manage to deliver projects on behalf of clients
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standard, on time and to budget
  • Read and interpret drawings provided by client
  • Brief Draughting team on concepts, drawings and creative briefs
  • Prioritise workload and deliver projects in a time pressured environment
  • Work closely with Estimator and Client to manage any changes to brief or costs
  • Work closely with the Estimator to prepare comprehensive quotes
  • Liaise with the purchasing team for stock ordering
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate systems
  • Work with the Manufacturing Unit to ensure that the project is clearly communicated
  • Supervise any Freelancers, transportation and logistical elements to the job
  • Comply with the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures at all time
  • Undertake any other duties within the scope of your knowledge and skills as and when required.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5 Years+ experience as a Project Manager
  • Currently a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager
  • Experience in the events sector an advantage
  • Looking after multiple projects at any one time
  • Experience of SolidWorks and AutoCAD draughting software
  • The ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Effective communication and written skills
  • Financial and commercial awareness
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office Tools.

A1 Personnel are looking for a Technical CAD Draftsperson on behalf of our South London based client.

Job Summary:

The CAD Drafter produces accurate construction drawings for use by the workshop and the CNC department, working closely with the Production department.

Experience of working with workshop construction drawings and to tight deadlines is a key expectation of this role.

You will be an experienced AutoCAD Draftsperson with a background of exhibition & set, shopfitting and point of sale.

Main Duties:

  • Producing construction drawings for use on the workshop floor and by third party manufacturers
  • Producing layout drawings for use by CNC department
  • Producing comprehensive layout drawings and full drawing packs for use onsite
  • Produce drawings that specify the correct materials
  • Working knowledge of a variety of materials we may use in production of our projects
  • Manage the labelling and issuing of drawings within the system
  • Participate in meetings and discuss your creative.
  • Working closely with Production Department in the development of pre-designed and conceptual projects
  • Attending site/production meetings
  • The ability to recce site locations and draw in AutoCAD.
  • Participation in the follow up debriefs after event

  • Self-starter, able to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines

Experience:

  • Highly skilled in AutoCAD 2D/3D
  • Experience in Solidworks, SketchUp, Rhino & Photoshop Adobe Illustrator would be a bonus
  • All round Microsoft experience (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Experience in application of materials
  • Experience of working with workshop construction drawings
  • Strong working knowledge of exhibition & set, shopfitting and point of sale.

Job Summary:

Project Managers for the Staging team work as the key point of contact between clients and Workshop to deliver high quality projects to time, cost and budget. This role provides a technical know how to the client and manages all staging components of the event to a quality that exceeds clients expectations.

Role:

  • Understand and interpret the clients brief relating to the event
  • Work with Designers and provide technical staging input
  • Collaborate with the clients on technical aspects of the design and build
  • Conduct any necessary site visits
  • Develop and present any staging quotes to clients
  • Manage supplier relationships to secure materials to ensure the best
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget
  • Provide knowledge of acrylic, laminate and display printing
  • Ordering materials and arranging hires
  • Working closely with the Senior Workshop Manager to ensure that the project is resourced and timelines clearly communicated
  • Plan and schedule project time lines and milestones using appropriate company systems
  • Comply with the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures at all time
  • Supervise any Freelancers, transportation and logistical elements to the job
  • Under take any other duties within the scope of your knowledge and skills as and when required
