Job Description
We are seeking an Import Declarant to join our growing customs and freight forwarding team based in Felixstowe. This role will focus primarily on import customs clearances across sea freight and air freight shipments, ensuring all declarations are completed accurately and compliantly.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing approximately 10 deep-sea and Middle Eastern ocean import entries, alongside supporting around 15 mixed-origin air freight shipments. Experience with exports would be beneficial but is not essential.
Requirements
Previous customs clearance or import declaration experience preferred.
Export customs experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Good understanding of customs documentation and classification processes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments.
Hours
Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm (Office Based)
