JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and practical experience in various manufacturing techniques.
DUTIES:
Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing issues effectively.
Utilise AutoCAD and SolidWorks for designing and modifying schematics and layouts.
Implement and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tooling and fabrication methods that optimise production efficiency.
Apply mechanical knowledge to support assembly processes, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications.
Oversee plastics injection moulding operations, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production cycle.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analysing current processes and recommending enhancements.
Ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in all engineering documentation.
Provide technical support for welding operations, ensuring best practices are followed for quality output.
REQUIREMENTS
Proficient in root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot manufacturing problems effectively.
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks for creating detailed designs and schematics.
Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in a manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of CAD systems and their application in product design.
Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication processes.
Familiarity with tooling design and implementation for various manufacturing applications.
Knowledge of ANSYS and control systems
Experience with plastics injection moulding techniques is highly desirable.
Proven track record of driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent problem-solving skills.
