JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and practical experience in various manufacturing techniques.


DUTIES:


  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing issues effectively.

  • Utilise AutoCAD and SolidWorks for designing and modifying schematics and layouts.

  • Implement and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tooling and fabrication methods that optimise production efficiency.

  • Apply mechanical knowledge to support assembly processes, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications.

  • Oversee plastics injection moulding operations, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production cycle.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analysing current processes and recommending enhancements.

  • Ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in all engineering documentation.

  • Provide technical support for welding operations, ensuring best practices are followed for quality output.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot manufacturing problems effectively.

  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks for creating detailed designs and schematics.

  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in a manufacturing environment.

  • Solid understanding of CAD systems and their application in product design.

  • Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in fabrication processes.

  • Familiarity with tooling design and implementation for various manufacturing applications.

  • Knowledge of ANSYS and control systems

  • Experience with plastics injection moulding techniques is highly desirable.

  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent problem-solving skills.
